iTIVA is a simulation program that provides information about the distribution of medications based on mathematical models of an average person. iTIVA is not designed to manage intravenous medications for individual patients. Its use is limited to educational purposes and to demonstrating important pharmacokinetic principles when administra- ting intravenous anesthesia. The calculated perfusion schemes are ob- tained from hypothetical concentrations based on medication models published in medical literature. For this reason, the concentrations re- quired based on these schemes will vary widely, as will clinical e ects.

Therefore the user assumes all risks from the use of this application for clinical purposes. This application should only be used by people with extensive knowledge in Anesthesiology.
